A Prayer For Growing Trust in God

Heavenly Father,

We come before You desiring hearts that trust You more deeply with each passing day. Your Word calls us to “trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight” (Proverbs 3:5–6). Teach us to live this truth daily.

Lord, when tomorrow feels uncertain, remind us that “Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever” (Hebrews 13:8). You are unchanging in a changing world. You are faithful in every season.

Increase our trust when fear whispers doubts. Your Word says, “When I am afraid, I put my trust in You” (Psalm 56:3). Help that to be our first response, not our last resort. Let confidence in You grow stronger than our circumstances.

Father, Your "mercies are new every morning; great is Your faithfulness" (Lamentations 3:22–23). As each day begins, renew our hope. Teach us to depend on You for daily bread (Matthew 6:11) and to seek first Your kingdom and righteousness (Matthew 6:33).

Help us to remember that “those who know Your name trust in You, for You, Lord, have never forsaken those who seek You” (Psalm 9:10). Deepen our knowledge of who You are, so our trust is rooted NOT in feelings, but in Truth.

Lord, grow our faith step by step. May we "walk by faith and not by sight" (2 Corinthians 5:7), confident that “You work all things together for good for those who love You” (Romans 8:28). Even when we cannot see Your hand, help us to trust the goodness of Your heart.

Day by day, shape us into people who rely on You completely. Let our lives declare that our hope is built on nothing less than Jesus Christ and His righteousness.

We surrender today — and every tomorrow — into Your faithful hands.
