A Prayer For The New Year

As we step into this new year, we pause to thank You.

for Your faithfulness in the year behind us. For every joy that lifted us and every trial that shaped us, we give You praise—knowing You were present through it all.

We place the coming year into Your hands. Go before us in all we do. Guide our steps when the path feels uncertain, and steady our hearts when change feels overwhelming.

Help us release what we are not meant to carry— regret, fear, and past hurts— and receive instead Your peace, wisdom, and strength. Teach us to trust You more deeply, to love more generously, and to live each day with purpose and grace.

May this year draw us closer to You. Let our lives reflect Your light, our words speak kindness, and our actions show Your love to a world in need of hope.

Whatever this year may hold, we choose to walk forward with confidence, knowing You are with us—yesterday, today, and forever.
