A Prayer For Sharing The Good News Boldly

Heavenly Father,

We come before You today humbled by the truth that You have entrusted us with the greatest message the world has ever heard. The Good News of Jesus Christ — that He lived, died, and rose again so that all who believe in Him will not perish but have eternal life (John 3:16) — is not ours to keep. It is ours to proclaim. Stir within us a boldness to do just that.

Lord, forgive us for the times we have stayed silent when You opened a door to speak. Your Word reminds us that "there is no fear in love, but perfect love casts out fear" (1 John 4:18). Fill us with such a deep love for the lost that boldness becomes the natural overflow of that love.

Father, we remember that the early church did not spread Your Word timidly — they prayed for courage and You answered. Just as the believers cried out, "Enable Your servants to speak Your word with great boldness" (Acts 4:29), we pray the same today. Open our mouths and fill them with Your truth.

Remind us that we do not carry this calling in our own strength. You have given us "a spirit not of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind" (2 Timothy 1:7). That same Spirit who raised Christ from the dead lives within us (Romans 8:11). May we walk in the fullness of that power every day.

Lord, make us mindful that someone is waiting to hear the truth that will set them free — a neighbor, a coworker, a friend, a stranger. Help us to see the people around us the way You see them — as souls deeply loved and sought by a God who leaves the ninety-nine to find the one (Luke 15:4). Give us the words when the moment comes, trusting that Your Spirit will speak through willing hearts (Matthew 10:19).

May we never be ashamed of the Gospel, for it "is the power of God that brings salvation to everyone who believes" (Romans 1:16). Fill us with a holy urgency — knowing that "now is the day of salvation" (2 Corinthians 6:2). Send us out, Father, as bold and joyful witnesses of the One who changed everything.

In the name of Jesus, Amen.
