Heavenly Father,
We come before You today with grateful hearts, lifting up our communities and nations into Your faithful and loving hands. You are the God who holds the world in Your care, and we trust that Your plans for us are good — "plans to prosper us and not to harm us, plans to give us hope and a future" (Jeremiah 29:11).
Lord, we pray for the streets, neighborhoods, and towns where we live. Let Your light shine through us into every corner of darkness. May we be the salt and light You have called us to be, so that others "may see our good deeds and glorify our Father in heaven" (Matthew 5:16). Stir in our hearts a deep and genuine love for those around us — our neighbors, our coworkers, the stranger in need — and give us the courage to act on that love.
We lift up our leaders and those in authority over our nations. Your Word calls us to pray "for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness" (1 Timothy 2:2). Father, grant them wisdom, humility, and a hunger for justice. Where division and discord have taken root, we ask that You bring reconciliation and healing, for You are the God of peace.
