A Prayer for Rest

Lord, we come to you today seeking rest. our days are ever-changing, chaotic, and unpredictable.. but you aren’t. 

We take comfort in knowing that you never change, that you alone carry the things we cannot. we thank you that you take our heaviness, grief, loneliness, and whatever else is weighing us down, and carry it with such loving kindness.

Lord, help us to hold onto the truth that in the hardest parts of our lives, you are right there with us. help us to feel your presence when you meet us in the chaos.

Lord, please remind us that when we are seeking rest in our souls, you are there with open and strong arms, just waiting to carry the load.

We pray all this in Jesus’ strong and mighty name, Amen.
