A Prayer For Mommas

Heavenly Father,

We lift up our hearts in praise and gratitude for the gift of mothers and the many ways they reflect Your nurturing love to the world. We thank You for the women who have poured into our lives, believing the truth that "children are a heritage from the Lord" (Psalm 127:3). We ask for Your special blessing upon every mother today, that they would be strengthened with Your power and encouraged by Your Spirit. Grant them the wisdom to lead their households with grace, embodying the promise that a woman who fears the Lord "is to be praised" (Proverbs 31:30).

Lord, for the mothers who are weary, we pray for Your divine rest; for those who are anxious, we pray for Your perfect peace. May they be reminded that their labor is never in vain when it is done for You. Help them to teach their children in the way they should go, trusting that "even when they are old they will not turn from it" (Proverbs 22:6). We also lift up those for whom this day is difficult—those longing to be mothers, those who have lost children, and those who are grieving the loss of their own mothers. Comfort them with the assurance that You gather us under Your wings as a hen gathers her chicks.

We celebrate the strength, dignity, and laughter of the women in our lives, recognizing that "her children arise and call her blessed" (Proverbs 31:28). May Your grace be the foundation of every home and Your love the heartbeat of every family. Fill these mothers with a deep sense of their worth in Your eyes, reminding them that they are fearfully and wonderfully made for this high calling.
