A Prayer About Intentional Parenting
Faithful God, You are the giver of life and the perfect Father to us all. We thank You for the children You have entrusted to our care, reminding us that they are a heritage from the Lord (Psalm 127:3).
Grant us wisdom to parent with intention, not by the patterns of this world, but according to Your truth. Help us to teach Your ways diligently—in our words, our actions, and in the everyday moments of life (Deuteronomy 6:6–7).
Lord, shape our hearts before we try to shape theirs. Give us patience when we are weary, humility when we fall short, and grace to model repentance, faith, and love. May our children see Christ formed in us (Galatians 4:19).
Teach us to guide without provoking, to discipline with love and not harshness (Ephesians 6:4), and to trust You with what we cannot control. Help us to plant seeds of faith, knowing You are the one who brings the growth (1 Corinthians 3:6).
May our homes be places where Your Word is lived, Your love is practiced,
and Your presence is welcomed.
We place our children and our parenting in Your hands, trusting You to lead us day by day.
