My Miracle

Our God is a God of Miracles! We hear this phrase often, tied in with stories of God's miraculous work in the lives of others, but sometimes it's hard to believe that we can experience it for ourselves.

The Monday before Mother's Day, I found out that God had given me a miracle.

But to tell you about that, I have to go back to 2015. I had been married for two years, and we decided it was time to start trying to have a baby. You think it's going to be easy....but I just had a gut feeling that something was wrong. After about 7 months, we saw a specialist. They told us we would have to use IVF to conceive, because there was only a .01% chance we could have a child the "natural" way.

I didn't want to accept that. So we saw another specialist, did more tests...they said the same thing. Chances were basically 0. ZERO!

Around the same time, I attended a church conference, and during the message, the idea for ellyandgrace popped into my mind. So, after praying about it and talking to my husband, ellyandgrace was born! Yes, I was unhappy in my day job and looking for something that could share the gospel, (that's always the reason I've given people), but I also started ellyandgrace to take my mind off how upset I was that I couldn't get pregnant.

The Tell Your Mountain about Your God design was inspired by my struggle- and every time I saw it, I was reminded that we serve a great God. I focused on building my new business but the desire to become a mom never went away.

During this time, I didn't tell many people about our struggle. Sometimes I hinted around about it on social media, but I've always been a really private person. I didn't understand why it was happening. When you're a type A planner (and I am!) it's hard to accept when your plans don't work out.

But the Lord has perfect timing. He taught me quite a bit about patience in the waiting!

Okay- back to Mother's Day. I was completely shocked to find out just a few days before Mother's Day that I was pregnant. Because we were told it was impossible. Because we hadn't started IVF yet. And I knew without a doubt- God had given us a miracle!

I know that God's plans are not our own and that His timing is perfect.

Because now, I have the opportunity to share this miracle with you. To let you know, friend, that miracles do happen! So, remember.... if you're going through something that seems impossible- with God ALL things are possible!

Our sweet baby girl is due January 4th!

"You made a way when there was no way, and I believe I'll see you do it again"

Congratulations! What a beautiful story! And a beautiful baby girl! I love that you designed the “Tell Your Mountain about Your God” shirt. I purchased it when my teenage son suddenly lost all of his hearing. I had been clinging to the God can move mountains verse and when I saw an ad online for your hoodie I knew I needed to have it. I was praying and asking the Lord for a miracle, to restore his hearing to him. The doctors have said it will never return. I’m still waiting for that miracle. Nothing is to hard for HIM! I love my hoodie and the personal meaning it has for me when I wear it. I especially love knowing the meaning it held for you and that your mountain was moved. Tears and smiles!

I’m so happy for you! I e heard it said that the power of a testimony is that ’He’ll do it again’! So I’d just like to encourage anyone that if you haven’t received the miracle you’ve been waiting for, that God will do it again! He is faithful! Blessing on all of you!

Longing to sell your shirts ASAP and wear them. What next to do?ordered one (I think!!!). Heather grey -white lettering?? Don’t even recall what it said. Size L to be safe. And hoping it comes soon. But us old ladies never wear short sleeves. But our young customers do. God willing we can order soon. Congratulations on Grace. He’s always sufficient.
