A Prayer For the Overwhelmed Heart

Ever have one of those days where everything seems to happen at once?

Your schedule is thrown off, something unexpected happens...the possibilities are endless.

If you're like me, it's really easy to allow something simple to mess with your attitude and mind. 

One of the things that makes me feel the MOST overwhelmed is a sudden schedule change- because I thrive in routine.⁠

Generally, when I wake up, I know what I'm doing for the day. If something throws that off, depending on how major it is, it starts to overwhelm me.⁠ ⁠

Doing what I do for ellyandgrace while trying to do full time work in part time hours can be stressful- so changes really mess with me!⁠

So, here I am. I just put Grace down for a nap, and I was going to go straight to taking Christmas pictures. After all, I only have a short amount of time to take them so I need to get on it.⁠

But I felt a pull to read a little from the Bible and spend some time praying.

Prayer-

God, I'm really struggling with _____ today. I know that I can do all things through you, but this feels like so much.

Please help me to prioritize and keep my focus on what is important. Please help me to remain patient and kind even

as I'm having these overwhelming moments.
