Who is in Your Squad?

This was one of my first shirt designs and it's still one of my favorites!
I started thinking about circumstances that we are all in. Each of these women, except perhaps Deborah, had things happen to them that were out of their control.
Abigail was married to a bad man, Esther was an orphan and had to keep her race a secret to stay safe, Mary was a young unwed pregnant girl, and Ruth became a widow in a foreign land with her mother in law.
I'm sure each of them thought at some point- why me? Why is this happening to me? My life was planned, now things have totally changed.
Each of them came through it with God. Abigail became a wife of a king, Esther became a queen, Ruth found a new husband and Mary was the mother of Jesus. WOW! Talk about women to live up to! And what a dream squad.

Great shirt. Would like to see Rahab added to the list. Left alone to fend for herself she was labeled as an immoral outcast. God rewarded her and her family was the only one spared at the conquest of Jericho. She was also an ancestor of King David and Jesus Christ, one of only for women mentioned in the genealogy of Jesus Christ in The Book of Matthew. She was Brave and faithful and God found great favorite her.
