What would YOU tell your high school self?
For me? I would tell her to stop holding onto what she wanted so tightly.
What did I want to be in High School? Something in politics for sure. I had *plans*. CONCRETE “don’t mess with me” plans.
Dream College since elementary school? Apply Early Decision no questions asked.
Major? Pre-Law. Lawyer? More likeiy politics. I had it all planned out.
I wasn’t going to let anything stop me...except when I didn’t get into the dream school.. Not only did I not get in...but I didn’t even get wait-listed. It was embarrassing.
God’s plans are so much greater than our own, His plans for my life led me to the school where I met my husband. His plans led me to start ellyandgrace. His plans led me out of politics and away from people who weren't good for me.
