Psalms for the Weary - Day 1: Psalm 46
Day 1: Psalm 46
1 God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble.
2 Therefore we will not fear, though the earth give way and the mountains fall into the heart of the sea,
3 Though its waters roar and foam and the mountains quake with their surging.
4 There is a river whose streams make glad the city of God, the holy place where the Most High dwells.
5 God is within her, she will not fall; God will help her at break of day.
6 Nations are in uproar, kingdoms fall; He lifts His voice, the earth melts.
7 The Lord Almighty is with us; the God of Jacob is our fortress.
8 Come and see what the Lord has done, the desolations He has brought on the earth.
9 He makes wars cease to the ends of the earth. He breaks the bow and shatters the spear; He burns the shields with fire.
10 He says, “Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth.”
11 The Lord Almighty is with us; the God of Jacob is our fortress.
These are weary times, friends.
My goodness, there is SO much going on. Aside from what’s happening in our personal lives, our country is divided on so many levels. Our world is chaotic on so many levels. There’s so much happening at once - sometimes, I’m afraid to get out of bed and face the day...(and I know I’m not the only one experiencing that).
BUT…
1) We aren’t alone.
Our “God is our refuge and strength” every step of the way, so do not fear what the day holds!
2) Be still and know that He is God.
You should see my calendar right now - busy busy busy! I’ve noticed the busier I am, the more my heart is not at rest. I need to remember to be still and acknowledge Who He is, in the midst of the crazy.
3) He is our fortress.
He is our stronghold - the One who never wavers. We can count on Him to never leave us or forsake us, especially in the hardest of times.
As you go about your day, reflect on this Psalm and these things.
I'm so thankful we can turn to God's Word any day, especially the weary ones!

Unlike many of us, God ALWAYS has a plan. Our responsibility is to pray and trust Him to lead us. His help is there for the asking. We only have to ask and believe and often times be content to wait upon Him. What a wonderful God we serve.
Verse 10
Be still and know that I am God
I will be honored by every nation.
I will be honored throughout the world.
This verse reminds me to stop striving & stressing over what I see happening around me. That doesn’t mean not to care about it, it does mean that God’s got this. He WILL be honored whether others want it that way or not. I’m so thankful I am part of His winning team.💖✝️
Thank you for this today! It always amazes me how many times the Bible speaks to what we are going through on any given day or time. Just perfect. Always. Gods love.
Thanks to everyone who sent the reminder about our daily scripture. I don’t ever remember being this low on life. I’m struggling in so many ways, from my male chauvinist team, to having all your siblings walk away, and a best friend of 40+ years walk out of your life without any reason or explanation. I know there’s a reason for everything, but I’m hurting on a daily basis to find out why. ♥️ to all!
Reading all these beautiful quotes of what God says really touches my heart every time which brings tears to my eyes knowing Jesus died on the cross for all our SINS.
I’m not worthy.
I’ve always depended & Loved our HEAVENLY FATHER UNCONDITIONALLY LIKE HE LOVES ALL OF US FOREVER LIFE.
GOD IS IN CONTROL OF EVERYTHING IN THIS WORLD. We have to stop moving so fast & trying to keep everything under
CONTROL.
Because God wants us to let him CONTROL our lives.
I just lost my dad & who had dementia, cancer & Charcot Marie Tooth. He hated me throughout the dementia & beat me always even as he went through dementia.
But..I’ve forgiven him, my mother & my sister & will always love them.
One day we will meet again & have ETERNAL LIFE. God who is my HEAVENLY FATHER LOVES ME UNCONDITIONALLY. IF IT WASN’T FOR MY HEAVENLY FATHER I WOULDN’T BE TYPING THIS NOW.
Never take life for granted. I know we all have stories but one story can be worst than yours.
I’m just thankful to have friends like all of you out there who care so much about God.
Thank you kindly for Inviting me to your circle of love.
Many blessings & love always,
Theresa
