For God So Loved the World

So many people right now are feeling alone, forgotten, and unloved - and I imagine that number has gotten bigger in the last two years.

That’s the reason this shirt is one of my favorites from the Valentine’s Day collection - it boldly proclaims to everyone who sees it:

You are loved.
God sent Jesus to die for you and He did.
You are not alone.
You are not forgotten.

I pray that the people who see others wear this shirt are reminded of God’s love for them - not just over Valentine's Day, but all year. 

I've been thinking a LOT about this verse lately, because I've been reading the Bible in a Year, and I'm currently reading Exodus- all the rules and laws! It's a little overwhelming if I'm being honest. Yet, Jesus has covered us in His love. 

When Jesus was asked "which command in the law is the greatest?", He said "Love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul and all your mind"...the second (command) is like it "Love your neighbor as yourself." (Matthew 22:34-40).

Love. Love God, Love others as we have been so loved. 

For God so loved you (yes- YOU) that he GAVE His only and only son (that's Jesus) that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have everlasting life.

Take a moment today, and share God's love with someone else. Need some ideas? I've got them for you!

1. Text a friend just to say that you're praying for them.
2. Call your mom, sister, aunt, brother, grandma, anyone- just to say hi!
3. Take flowers or a card to a local nursing home.
4. Bake cookies or brownies and drop them off at a neighbor's house

Don't wait for someone to show God's love to you- show His love to others!
