What My Dog Taught Me About Life

A few nights ago I was curled up on the couch in my snuggly blanket with my computer working on a few things when my sweet dog, Sawyer jumped on the couch and snuggled right in next to me.

It was the cutest thing! He's such a sweet dog, and one of the best parts about working from home is that I can work close to him, or take a break and take him on a short walk.

In that moment, I thought to myself, "Oh to have the life of a dog. Must be nice to not have to worry about anything, have all your needs taken care of and just enjoy life."

And in that moment, I heard God say in my soul, "That's how you should be living Brenna."

Matthew 6:26 says "Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they?"

So, I shouldn't be worrying about silly things. Does Sawyer worry about things? Probably not- he knows that I take care of him. I make sure he has food, water, a warm home, exercise, playtime, a place to sleep....I take care of all of it!

I created a special shirt that reminds me of Sawyer. It's the All Things Are Possible With Jesus and Dog Snuggles.
