Hope for the Waiting

I’m sure we have all encountered a season of waiting. Whether for a job, school opportunity, your spouse, the right house, children, or family members to find salvation.
  • Waiting can be so so hard, I will start with that.
  • But the bible calls us to patience- see Galatians 5 for passages on Fruit of the Spirit. But patience doesn’t just appear, like fruit that you would eat, it takes a growing process.
  • You might have to fight and weed to get your patience to a thriving state. Galatians 5 also reminds us to “live by the Spirit” referring to God’s Holy Spirit. Meaning you are NOT alone, we have the Helper promised by Jesus.
  • Waiting may not be easy but take heart! There is a mighty promise attached- see Isaiah 40:31 “but they who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint.”
  • Let’s cling to this HOPE, the Lord renews us!
A prayer for those in a waiting season today:
Father, we thank You for Your many blessings and favor. We praise You for who You are. You are good, and we cling to that. We can place our hope in You, knowing that You are working this situation for our good. Help us in our journey of patience. We invite You to grow the most amazing fruit in our lives. We know that You hold the future, so we put our faith in You. We lay down worry at Your feet and ask that You replace it with peace.
Thank You for all You’ve done and all You will do. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Thank you for posting this. I’m in a waiting period myself and am trying to practice patience. I’m grateful for each day and am praying for peace.
