3 Tips for The Waiting Season

It seems like all of us are in the waiting. Whether it's children, job, future, marriage, a relationship, graduation or something else.

Here are 3  things to remember in the waiting:

1. Chances are you have something now that you were once waiting for. Remember to thank God for that and let that thing serve as a reminder that God is faithful.

2. Don't lay around waiting and wishing for that thing- instead focus on showing God's love to others. Waiting for something shouldn't stop you from sharing the gospel.

3. It's easy to watch other people who have what we want and start comparing- but I promise you- they have their struggles, and they probably are waiting for something too.

Ultimately, all of us are waiting for the same thing- heaven. Jesus's return.

APPLICATION:

When you start feeling self doubt (and let's be honest- feeling sorry for yourself!), these scriptures will help you focus during your waiting season.

3 Verses about Waiting

But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.
- Isaiah 40:31

The Lord is good to those who wait for Him, to the soul who seeks Him.
- Lamentations 3:25

Blessed is the man who remains steadfast under trial, for when he has stood the test he will receive the crown of life, which God has promised to those who love him. - James 1:12
